Involving coworkers in your leadership growth process requires courage to face weaknesses and ask for suggestions. It requires humility to listen, take into consideration the suggestions, and ask for accountability in making those changes. Finally, involving coworkers requires discipline to turn their suggestions into visible action on a daily basis.
Once your coworkers have been confirmed, they will receive an email inviting them to provide suggestions on how you can improve in your leadership growth areas. They will be asked to describe the actionable behaviors they believe will lead to an improvement in your leadership effectiveness. You can access these suggestions in the Feedforward page, where you will be able to review the comments with your coach and construct an action plan. This process will be a core element of each coaching session, ensuring that you have clarity on exactly how to make powerful improvements in your leadership effectiveness.
The second process that will involve your coworkers is the Pulse survey. Every 3 months, the platform sends a brief survey about the progress of your leadership to each coworker via email. Go to the My Journey page and scroll down to “Pre-Session 10 - Wrap Up” to review the Pulse Survey Process and Benefits.
Steps:
Go to “My Journey”
Click on “Coworkers” (Stakeholders)
Click “Edit”
Fill out your coworkers’ details in their respective breakout groups
Click “Save coworker” after each person
Click “Publish” to finalize the Coworker List*
Click “Yes”
*You will be able to publish this list after session 3 has been completed.
Please note that you need to have a total of at least 3 coworkers for the breakout groups "peers" and "direct reports" to be able to publish your Coworker List. If, for instance, you have 1 peer and 2 direct reports, these 3 coworkers will have to be merged in the breakout group "Other", which will allow you to publish the Coworker List.
We recommend choosing between 6 and 12 coworkers, however, the system will allow you to add more than 12 coworkers to the list.
Please bear in mind that you will not be able to edit a coworker's details once the list has been published. You can only change their breakout group or deactivate them.
Once you have published your Coworker List, they will be receiving an email letting them know that you have selected them as a key participant to help them along in the process.
You will be able to add more coworkers after publishing, however, the newly added coworkers will not be receiving the email above. They will still be invited to provide feedforward suggestions and participate in Pulse surveys.
